@andrew_ranger • @NASCARHomeTrack • @CTMPOfficial • (August 26, 2015)- Andrew Ranger, driver of the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge, feels he has some unfinished business at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP). This weekend Ranger is looking to make his push for a third NASCAR Canadian Tire Series title during round ten of the 2015 season.
During the season opener at CTMP Ranger was running second in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge and made a bold move trying to take over the lead on the final lap. The lead car aggressively fought back and ran the Quebec driver wide and off the track. Ranger regrouped and managed to finish ninth.
"It was late in the race and I saw a little opening and I went for it, then I got pushed wide off the track," explained the driver.
Ranger is a two-time winner at CTMP and has also scored the pole position on five occasions. Ranger would like nothing more than to capture his third victory at the track in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.
"We've had a lot of success in the past and the team has given me a good car to drive all season, now we have to try and capitalize this weekend," stated Ranger.
With this being the final road course event of the year Ranger feels it's his best opportunity to try and take charge of the championship fight with a strong outing in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.
"It's a close fight, we're only a few points behind in second and on this track we want to take advantage" said Ranger.
Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team will be on track for practice and qualifying this Saturday and then the race begins at 10AM ET Sunday morning.
Broadcast Info: Fans can tune in to watch all the action from CTMP Saturday September 5th at Noon ET on TSN and Friday September 25th at 7PM ET on RDS2.
