@Sunset_Speedway • INNISFIL, Ontario (September 5, 2015)--- Jade Franklin would battle hard all feature long, though came up short in the end with a 15th place finish.
Franklin started off the night by finishing second in his heat to automatically qualify for the feature. He would then post a solid eighth place finish in the fast qualifer's dash.
Come feature time, Franklin would start the 30-lap event from the second spot on the front row. The early laps would see Franklin fall back a couple spots, running sixth as of lap nine, with the quicker cars making their way through. The rookie would hold his ground, continuing to run inside the top-10 till the halfway mark.
In the late stages of the race, things didn't go as Franklin would've hoped as he continued to fall back, crossing the finish line in 15th.
Franklin will return to Sunset Speedway for one more night of points racing in hopes of ending his rookie campaign on a solid note. Details and tickets for this weekend can be purchased via http://www.sunsetspeedway.ca.
