@Sunset_Speedway • INNISFIL, ON (June 22, 2015) --- After running upfront during the majority of the 75-lap Garry Reynolds Memorial feature, Rick Walt would fade in the late stages to finish just outside of the top-10.
Walt started off the night by posting the third quickest time in time trials. The invert would place him fifth on the grid.
Throughout the first half of the event, Walt remained in the top-five, battling hard to keep track position for the later half of the event. Though as the event got into the later stages, the No. 31 Cindy Snow ReMax, Rust Check Canada, Eisses Pumping Services, Oro Collision, Simone Autosport, HOTC, Walt Fab, Seaton Structures, Pizzaville, Redline Graphics and Apparel, Innovative Plumbing Solutions, Red Castle Performance, and Trackside Innovations Late Model began to fade, resulting in a loss of track position.
By the end of the feature, Walt crossed the finish line in the 12th spot, unofficially.
The Walt Motorsports team will return to Sunset Speedway on July 4 for the next points night of competition. It's also a fan appreciation night so be sure to come out early and meet the drivers. Details can be found via http://www.sunsetspeedway.ca.
