@Sunset_Speedway • INNISFIL, Ontario (July 22, 2015)- Building off of last week's solid finish, Lisa DeLeeuw would have another pair of good runs this weekend at Sunset Speedway.
DeLeeuw would start off the weekend by finishing 10th in her heat on Saturday, forcing her to run the b-main later that afternoon. DeLeeuw would have a great run in the b-main, finishing third to qualify for the 20-lap feature.
Come feature time, she would start in the second spot, falling back to the seventh spot by the seventh lap. She would continue to battle hard, but ultimately fall back to 15th with two laps to go. She'd battle hard on a late race restart, crossing the finish line in the 18th spot.
Returning to the track on Sunday and looking for better success, DeLeeuw started off the day by finishing sixth in her heat.
Come feature time, she would start in the fourth spot, running as high as second before the first caution at lap three. On the restart, she would fall back to the sixth spot, before dropping back to seventh on lap eight. She would continue to run seventh throughout the middle of the feature, before being passed late in a three-wide battle with two laps to go to finish 10th.
