THOMAS, ON (August 12, 2015) – The DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series is preparing for what could be one of their largest event weekends to date as the lure of Guaranteed Winner's purses on Saturday in Super Pro, Modified and Quick 16 coupled with NHRA Jr Drag Racing League Wally trophies for Jr Winners both days, and finally special High Roller shoot-outs Saturday night should make this an event Ontario Drag Racers won't want to miss!
Sponsoring the Sportsman Nationals for the 3rd year in row is Degroote-Hill Chevrolet-Buick-GMC as well as J&S Collision and Refinishing, both of whom have been large supporters of both the DSE Sportsman Series as well as Sportsman Drag Racing in Ontario and Quebec for many years. Located in Tillsonburg Ontario, Degroote-Hill Chevrolet-Buick-GMC is one of a limited number of dealers who have been awarded the GM Triple Crown Award for customer service/satisfaction and approval rate.
Dubbed "SUPER SATURDAY" for this event, the Saturday edition of the Sportsman Nationals will feature the winner's purses in Super Pro and Modified being guaranteed to pay $1000, while Quick 16 Racers will be vying for a chance at the $1500 to win prize.
As well Degroote-Hill Chevrolet-Buick-GMC and J&S Collision have stepped up to sponsor two High Roller Shoot-outs Saturday Night after the Main event race is completed. The Shoot-outs will feature a BOX and NO BOX category that racers must pre-enter. Entry fee is $250 for Box racers with $2500 to win and $150 for No Box Racers with $1500 to win, first 16 to call and confirm payment to the DSE Series will race. Lastly, Jr Dragster racers will have their second opportunity this season to race for NHRA JR Dragster "Wally" Trophies as they compete in the JR drag Racing League Challenge both Saturday and Sunday during the Sportsman Nationals
Additional categories that will also be running at the Sportsman Nationals will be Super Bike/Sled (Pro tree bracket racing), Street Car Eliminator (Street Legal cars), and the newest addition to the series Street Bike Eliminator, which offers an entry level class for Bike racers to run in.
Gates will open on Friday at 3 pm for weekend parking with Racing action starting on Saturday at 10:30 am with two rounds of time trials/qualifying before eliminations, then again on Sunday at 11:30 am with One Round of Time Trials/Qualifying before Eliminations
