MIDAS of Orangeville Midgets Prepare for Grand Bend Speedway:

@OSCAARRacing • @GBSUpdates • (August 14, 2015)- For the first time in racing history OSCAAR will be competing at Grand Bend Speedway with the Midas of Orangeville Midgets.  Grand Bend Speedway has a long history of starting the racing careers of many of the Ontario's finest. Cole Powell, J.R. Fitzpatrick, Trevor Cullvier, have all celebrated success at Grand Bend Speedway.

This weekend the stars of the Midget series will be looking to celebrate their own feature win.

Perhaps the hottest driver on the tour right now is the #83 of Jamie Bound who will be entering this weekends' event looking for his sixth feature win of 2015 and his fifth in a row.  #2 Jessica James has shown she has what it takes to dethrone the #83 if she can shake off those mechanical gremlins. The Woodland brothers have become a constant fixture in the top five each week. The #84 of Richard Woodland has one feature win on the season and will be looking for #2. #48 of Brian Woodland rebounded with a second place finish at the last event and finds himself tied for second in the championship points race with only a few events left in 2015. Rob McCall and his #62 midget have had a couple of great weeks of racing and is knocking on the door for his first feature win of 2015.

Current point leader #5 Jody Bound and second place in points #18 Paul Draganac are both searching for their first feature win of the 2015, all the while trying to maintain the consistency needed to keep the points lead.

Jody and his #5 Midget has the Rookie Battle pretty much in hand, but as of late the #86 of Raynor Vicker, the #71 of Wayne McKibbon and the #69 of Wally Wilson have all shown improvement in the series each and every week.

With the series entering the later part of the season, every driver is searching for every point for the championship hunt, the drivers are all wanting that elusive checker flag. This means the fans will not want to miss one single lap of Midget action, as the cars maybe small, but the speed and action on the track, are full size!

Midas of Orangeville Points: 1st #5 Jody Bound 501pts, 2nd #18 Paul Drananoc - #48 Brian Woodland 483 pts, 4th #84 Richard Woodland 470 pts, 5th #62 Rob McCall

Inside Track Magazine Hard Charger: 1st #83 Jody Bound 35 pts, 2nd #86 Raynor Vickers 34 pts, 3rd #48 Brian Woodland 29 pts, 4th #2 Jessica James, 5th #98 Kevin Spiez
