@PtboSpeedway • Peterborough, ON (August 15, 2015)- On Saturday night when Brad Stevenson takes to Peterborough Speedway, the No. 77 Eibach/Kingsmen Kustoms Modified will have a brand new look.
Following repairs after the OSCAAR event at Peterborough, S&S Racing, along with their sponsor Kingsmen Custom, decided to switch from a red paint scheme to a blue paint scheme for the second half of the season. Co-owner Brian Strawn says he hopes the color change will change their luck for the last half of the year. Despite the success the team has experienced, they have also faced their fair share of adversity in trying to have success across the board.
The last time the No. 77 modified was at Peterborough Speedway, it was for an OSCAAR event and Chad Strawn was behind the wheel. Starting sixth in the feature, he made his way to the front of the field, however would make contact with another competitor, knocking the toe out. He then held on to finish third.
In the fifth event of the season for the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series powered by Torque Builders Inc. on Saturday night, Brad Stevenson will be behind the wheel of the No. 77. Following a heat victory and a second place feature finish in his last outing, he is hoping to break through for his first win of the season and extend his points lead. He enters this weekend's event leading by one point over John Baker Jr.
Saturday night marks "Toonie Night" at Peterborough Speedway, which means all you have to do is pay a toonie to get admission to the races. There will also be an autograph session, set to take place at intermission. So make sure to head out during that time and meet Brad. The spectator grandstands will open at 4:00 with the first race of the night taking to the track at 5:00. More details about the night can be found at http://www.peterboroughspeedway.com/.
